We still have not really decided what song to really use but we did create a list of ideas which just waiting for someone specifically to agree upon them Pitch 1: Tootsie slide - Drake This was mainly on behalf of Jamarcus being a Drake lover and insisting Drake songs as the music video. I personally do not hate this option as I'm fine with any song as long as there is not too many explicits and is easy to record. We can not be doing a winter song in Florida and this dance in the video is relatively easy to do. The song is also not too bad in terms of sounding but that barely matters. Personally this is favored but group wise we sitll have one vote we need to take into consideration before we say anything. There are also other factors beside the main Toosie slide like Michael Jackson and other factors but that also just makes the music video more diverse.    In this group, we have the same three people. At first, we already had three, but I'm pretty sure that dude left for a different group. First, me and Tyree has been friends since middle school 6th grade. Since this is a creative based film, its a no brainer to work with someone I spent so much time on projects with. And also I basically know nobody else in the class and its fine as long as there is at least someone I know. There was also someone else I knew that just moved in who is called Joquin. I dont know how to spell his name but it did just come but he was the one that moved out of our group. He now has a new group. Then Jamarcus is now our third member. So its me, Tyree, and Jamarcus like normal working for this project. Since last project he missed out on recording part and I hope that does not happen again. As per usual, there isn't alot I can say. To introduce, my name is Da and I never really had any experience in any filming. Originally I did think that media studies were about studying media but for some reason didn't click that this would be a filming class. Not that I regret anything cause experience would be nice as I do like animating. Filming?? Can try it, should be pretty fun. I don't really have a lot of skills for filming however, I'm terribly mediocre at everything. I did use to have a video posting lots of video games from when I was a child and in a way filming could be a way for content adding on to something I already do. Though for now, I did quit, cause that game (Roblox) is going STILL going though lots of controversy right now, and talking about it wouldnt be too swell.   1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? Part 1: Look at your research for this the conventions. Did you follow these conventions and norms, or did you do something different? Doing the research for the gum, we deviated alot from our orginal storyboard. Due to occurances of certain events and unfortunate circumstances, we had to change alot of our plans to even make this commerical feasible. While gum seemed to be an easy commerical, one of our classmates had a hard time showing up, along with bad weather and, in public spaces, audio disruption, we ended up rerecording in a whole different area to make the commerical seem more professional. In the end, there was alot of differences from the storyboard simply from lack of time and bad luck. We did make the through and lots of props were cut out but it was accomplished in time.   Overall putting it together took way too long. Everything costed money and the video editor just suck but end results are okay.

 Editing stage is pretty basic, I got all of the scenes and I just need decide a software to use. Since my PC is pretty bad, I got to work with what I can use which would be clip champ. Now what about the background music? So far I have no clue what songs to use. But the idea is that indoors clip would be some sort of lobby music, summer would have a summer motif, and well winter, the winter motif. Editing style would be pretty basic, nothing too fancy due to restrictions from the editing software, some jump cuts and fade should do the trick. During the recording, I also tried timing myself to fit the 30 second criteria so after some little cuts of the beginning and the end and putting the scenes in order, the basic track would be done. Effects and soundeffects would be used from online websites along with an outro of all of the mentos ads.
